I haven\'t seen the movie yet, so I\'ll reserve my judgement for now.

But irrespective of what the film will turn out to be, this review is absolutely moronic. First of all, repeating the word "quirky" several times does not constitute an idea or an argument. Neither does putting random words next to the word "oppressively" (seriously, buy \'word of the day\' toilet paper or smth), and finally, go learn some basic logic. The fact that this movie is shot in 3D and that family movies are shot in 3D have nothing to do with each other. If the author of this review bothered to actually read Jeunet\'s explanation for 3D, he might have learned something. Not to mention that "It\'s the closest thing in Jeunet\'s career to a full on kids\' picture" sounds like "I can\'t be bothered to try and understand the movie / I don\'t get it, so I\'ll just label it as a kind of a kids\' picture, and then I can honestly say it\'s a crappy kids\' picture"

So can Oliver please be banned from writing reviews until he goes through at least 45 rolls of the \'word of the day\' toilet paper, takes Logic 101 in some parish school, and gets his narcissism and ADD taken care of?

I love Jeunet movies. I read this book a couple of years ago when it was first announced that he was going to direct it. I tried to visualize the story as a Jeunet movie, and had a hard time with it. The story felt very sparse to me. I will withhold judgment until I see the movie - I liked MicMacs, actually - but since I really loved Amelie, I will put on my twee vest and hope for the best.

Can Oliver please just write all the reviews here?:) I always recognize his great writing without even checking the byline. Nobody else could describe this film as "more twee than the Pinterest board for a Portland wedding", love it!
