I am tempted to think your volume was turned low when you watched this extraordinary and thorough film. You missed so many of the very things you write are missing. For example, there is a treasure chest of info about Liebrandt the man, yet you found that part lacking. And didn\'t you hear the chefs at the end congratulating Liebrandt for the maturity he was now showing in his cooking? Many years had passed since one of the three chefs interviewed refused comment. The last part of the film about the constructing of Corton, the training of the staff in an alternative kitchen, the training of the wait staff, the care to details like having the wait staff eat the food prior to the opening so they would understand it. Like the way Liebrandt exacted perfection from a sloppy sous chef, like the moment he came into the restaurant to caution the supervising waiter not to lean on anything but to stand erect with his hands behind his back, all these things show a great deal about Liebrandt\'s knowledge of what a perfect dining experience takes. I suggest you use Spellcheck as I noticed several misspelled words. It\'s cuisine, restaurateur, etc. See my review in The Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/linda-hassler/hbo-a-matter-of-taste-review_b_875756.html
