I have a real aversion for the word "great" and the phrase "instant classic" (a "classic" oxymoron) when referring to something that is brand new. Only the test of time can earn something the status of being great or a classic — and it's still primarily a subjective call as to when something becomes either. Some classics are not great, either (IMHO). I've loved GROUNDHOG DAY for almost twenty years and I now consider it a classic, but not great. Great comedy is some of Chaplin, Keaton (Buster, not Diane, haha), the Marx Bros. — and I'll go out on a limb for something as "recent" as SOME LIKE IT HOT. Still, I'm now looking forward to seeing 21 JUMP STREET much more than I was before reading your review.

I don't recall many blockbusters getting an A, sounds cool. I might even go to cinema for this one if it arrives early in my town.
