I was convinced it was going to be terrible and that he would love it no matter what for being subversive, difficult, etc. but he did not. Not at all, and i was utterly shocked.

I mean, if he hated it, I would expect I would probably loathe it. I know my writers and their taste painfully well.

To that end. You grade a movie on its own merits. I.e. in a bubble. So a D for one film is not graded against another film, you know what I mean?

Anyhow, do with that what you will.
