shades of 9/11? your selfish nature is limiting your vision and the scope of this show. this is a worldwide event. do you suppose folks in johannesburg or singapore ever get into discussions over where they were when usa was attacked? anyhow i found this show to more closely resemble another hbo show i hold dear and that is the late great carnivale. rooted in the real world yet fantastical and foreign, i will be eagerly awaiting each episode. i only hope hbo doesn't pull the plug before the story is finished.

Did anyone else notice the "hidden" bold letters in the title sequence? 'The Leftovers' becomes "Tevs"… which translates to internet slang for "whatevers." WTF? Well, color-me-interested.

Interestingly in the 3rd video you posted above around the 1:18 mark it shows a room full of chemicals and apparent corpses on the floor. Also in that room is what appears to be a cremation furnace. In the very next shot there is a view from inside the furnace with a door opening to accept a corpse that is being fed in via conveyor belt. Most interestingly the "workers" are wearing hazmat suits… I will definitely be following this series. Thanks for your recap 🙂
