I always catch episodes of Louie on my phone with the Dish Remote Access app at lunch. Miami was not as funny as the episodes usually are but it still had a lot of great parts. The car ride to the show was my favorite scene. I showed some coworkers at Dish and they said the ending was a little flat.

While I agree that this was a slight episode, I think, as a Puerto Rican who has lived in Miami, it was a pretty bold concept to focus on a Cuban immigrant's family and show the Latino culture in Miami in this current climate.

Maybe it was a natural thought for him because of his Mexican heritage, but an honest portrayl of Latino culture is rarely seen, even on Burn Notice which is shot in Miami, and usually marginalized. And there are plenty of middle and working class white neighborhoods in Miami so C.K. could have also gone that way, but to specifically highlight Latino culture is something else that should be applauded about this episode.

Love these write ups and love Louie. I do think, however, that the end section should be retitled "Reese's Pieces."

Great review. I think that "Louie" is so far about every other "comedy" on television that if this episode's a "B," it is only such in comparison to other "Louie" episodes rather than against everything else on television.
