In reply to Public Mistake. Technically, that person really was dead. Subsequent events returned him to the land of the living, but he was never not dead. Which does raise some interesting possibilities within a sci-fi/fantasy franchise.

I don’t think he is referring to the one’s who fade away at the end. I think this is in reference to some of the characters but not all. I hope we don’t lose Spidey already.

I don’t know. I’m pretty sure we’re going to get Gamora back in the next movie. This movie really stressed the grief Thanos feels over sacrificing Gamora. It’s not unthinkable he could decide that being master of the universe isn’t all its cracked up to be and bring her back, maybe sacrificing himself in the process. As holder of all the infinity stones, it’s certainly in his power.

They’ve tried to pull that “Actually they’re really dead” before with a certain character in GoT. I’m not buying this for a second.
