You\'ve got to be kidding with Dark Knight Rises! It was such a sloppy (bad guys falling down without getting punched, mis spelling the word heist) illogical (all the cops go into the tunnels, Bane goes in with no motorcycles, Bane comes out with motorcycles) uninspired (the whole stuck in the pit sequence, overlong, over-dull, absurd, passionless film Nolan had ever done, by a LONG shot.

Surprised that "Wall-E" and "Up" didn\'t make it in terms of box office (or "Ratatouille" either, for that matter). Had they been on the list, I\'d have ranked them #1 and #2. Can\'t get too excited for most of the films on this list - but, c\'mon, none of "The Hobbit" movies are better than any of the "Harry Potter" films.

Good ranking. Obviously a list of this nature is going to be dominated by series. But I found myself nodding along with the internal rankings of these series that this article suggests. For example, the third Harry Potter is the best and the first and second LOTR are better than the third. I also appreciate that there is no worshiping of Frozen here as it wasn\'t even the best animated film that came out in 2013.

There\'s no way that The Dark Knight Rises will ever come close to the greatness of The Dark Knight. Almost all of Bane\'s lines sound like ADR, there\'s no sense of how much time passes during the movie, no sense of geography in the final section. Characters just seem to show up at exactly the right times, even if they\'ve just come from an underground prison across the world and gotten into a city that no one can enter or exit. Bane dies in the most anti-climactic way possible. Not to mention the fact that after getting his back broken in a punching match with Bane, Bruce finally returns to Gotham and faces off with Bane and just decides that punching harder will defeat him. The movie is a mess.

I think Skyfall is way overrated and far inferior to Casino Royale. I can\'t think of a single memorable scene or sequence save for maybe the first meeting between Craig and Bardiem.

For Casino Royale there\'s the amazing parkour chase at the beginning, the fantastic scene on the train where Craig and Eva Green first meet, the hilarious/seat-squirming nude interrogation scene, the heart wrenching finale of the collapsing Venice building and on and on

Great article, thanks.

Although - I would still insist that Skyfall is the weakest of the Daniel Craig Bond films. Even weaker than QoS. The best looking, without doubt, but story wise it\'s completely flaccid.

Skyfall is a poor movie. It\'s wants to simultaneously be a serious, artistic Dark Knight rip-off (M may as well be telling the committee "Bond\'s the hero we deserve, and the one we need right now"), and a masturbatory love letter to Bond.

Hence why every deconstructionist statement it makes about Bond is dropped by the 2/3 mark, and how after both the brutal murder of a sex worker and M\'s death the movie forgets about them 30 seconds later to shift back into optimistic mode. Seriously, I don\'t think the movie realises the bad guy entirely won, the ending is played as a bittersweet victory at great cost (like the covered up Harvey Dent\'s crimes or something) instead of the failure it was.
