I\’ve said the same thing for years regarding "Schindler\’s List." People who quote Kubrick don\’t really know what they\’re saying. You captured the movie\’s importance perfectly. I always suggest that if you think Oskar Schindler is irrelevant to the story of the Holocaust, then Harriet Tubman must be irrelevant to the story of American slavery.

OK, while "Always" may be one of his weaker films, it\’s certainly better than "Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas" and "The Little Rascals." And "Hereafter" (and "Always" and "Hook," for that matter) are better than the disastrous "Men in Black II."

Its not like you guys have any credibility, but to put War of the Worlds in th 40s, which is easily better than anything Spielberg has done since ET, to put Goonies and Young Sherlock Holmes so low, which are obviously superior to the awful Shindlers List and completely overrated Jurassic Parc shows that you just dont care about film…

I know lists are subjective but jesus this list is ridiculous. And Back to the Future 3 wasn\’t a reaction to the 2nd movie\’s dark tone being disliked; the two films were shot simultaneously.

I\’ve never seen Gremlins so I carry no nostalgia for this thing. I\’m trying to watch it now and I totally understand that Amblin\’s more blockbustery stuff isn\’t necessarily the definition of thematically rich and that this movie is kind of the first of its kind) along with the better-than-its-reputation-suggests IMHO second Indiana Jones installment) in subverting audiences\’ expectations about the level of violence and grotesquerie allowed in a family-oriented picture. All I\’m saying is that I really hope this thing gets going because this first act is not exactly painting portraits of interesting, three dimensional characters so I really hope the subsequent acts of violence and grotesquerie are as awesome as you guys make it sound. I always hear Gremlins and Goonies uttered in the same breath as being the best Amblin movies from the eighties not directed by Spielberg or Zemekis. I\’ve seen neither. You guys put Goonies very low on this list and Gremlins very high. At this juncture in my current experience with this movie, it\’s hard not to imagine that the nostalgia that the authors don\’t feel for Goonies is present when they\’ve considered Gremlins. I hope that\’s not the case! I hope this movie shuts my candy ass up in its second and third acts! But so far it\’s a fairly boring amalgamation of It\’s a Wonderful Life,The Mask of Fu Manchu, and good practical puppetry effects for any time period (I\’ll give it that, at least).

BTTF III completed principal photography before BTTF II was released theatrically. II ends with preview footage from III. Are you suggesting the film was recut, subplots left out that had been filmed, reshoots?
