I can't help but point out that Ralf Fiennes and Mads Mikkelsen have both been in recent Bond films: Mikkelsen in Casino Royale and Fiennes in Skyfall. Just a fun little intersection between two radically different worlds of espionage.

Mikkelsen is the bad guy? Again? Don't get me wrong, I really think he's a great actor but in Hollywood films he seems to be typecast as the bad guy. Is it because of his accent? *sigh*

It's a shame 'The Honourable Schoolboy' isn't being made. I can see why – for the reasons Straughan says, and also that Graham plays Westerby only by name in TTSS – he's really playing another character, which the script combined with Westerby into the one Graham played – and both play prominent parts in 'Schoolboy'. But 'Schoolboy' is SUCH a great story, with a wonderful arc for the central character, great action, twists, and excitement, as well as all the spygame and tradecraft of TTSS, but with dangerous, exotic settings and characters, and a strong and realistic romance story at the centre. It's somewhere between The Quiet American and a Bond movie – and would make a great movie in its own right. If only they could do the trilogy.
