Oh man, you guys failed to mention his best score and my favorite score of all time...Legends of the Fall! Horner was always my favorite composer growing up. Sure John Williams had more iconic themes, but I could always listen to Horner\'s entire scores because he had multiple themes within each movie. Of course there is the common criticism that he reused certain musical cues, but that never bothered me. Unfortunately, imo his last great score was A Beautiful Mind in 2001. Some might say The New World but that music is mostly classical pieces as Malick replaced most of Horner\'s. I don\'t know what the reason for the drop off in productivity and quality, but his 90s work will always stand the test of time.

My top ten are: Legends of the Fall, Braveheart, Field of Dreams, Glory, Titanic, Enemy at the Gates, The Man Without a Face, The Mask of Zorro, The Rocketeer, Apollo 13.

I always say the score for The New World is the best one I ever heard. I really love The Rocketeer score as well. You all at the PLAYLIST really picked a great list of James Horners\' scores. He was very talented, I\'m sad he is gone. God bless him.
