If this Nebraska picture from Alexander Payne, is not the same as the Descendants, then we could possibly have to projects from Payne, and Malick in the same year. Would be nice.

Part of the rumour is that the film will be shooting in Italy and Spain, which might count out the possibility of this being a Southern U.S.-set slave story.

I\’m all for this concept, and not just because of Tarantino\’s involvement (though that doesn\’t hurt). I just love the concept of \”a southern\” as opposed to \”a western\”.

So in 2012, we\’re looking at… Paul Thomas Anderson\’s \”Inherent Vice,\” Alfonso Cuaron\’s \”Gravity,\” Andrew Dominik\’s \”Cogan\’s Trade,\” Wes Anderson\’s \”Moon Rise Kingdom,\” Dark Knight Rises from Christopher Nolan, POSSIBLY another Terrence Malick film (tentatively titled \”The Burial\”) and maybe another Alexander Payne film (Nebraska?).

And now a Quentin Tarantino film??

If 2012 really is the last year before the end of the world, at least it\’ll be an awesome year for movies.
