I have to say I agree wholeheartedly about Blake Lively in The Town. Sleeping in your eye makeup does not a performance make. She was the weakest link in that movie.

@Weetiger3: If I understood correctly, Tarantino did not make a derogatory comment on Blake Lively\’s performance. I think he meant that she is too good-looking for the role. Perhaps, if anybody has to take offence, these are the sisters in The Fighters (ugly = believable). After all, Tarantino, for the role of Brunhilde in Django, didn\’t choose an bad-looking actress, did he?

Have always loved Tarantino – it\’s great when a video-store clerk can become an acclaimed director – his knowledge of film is pretty damn impressive. That aside, his opinion about Russell is questionable. I agree that True Detective\’s scripts took themselves too seriously (not a bit of humor) in both seasons, but the directing in Season One is stellar – if he\’d watched it, he\’d likely agree. Cannot wait for The Hateful Eight.

About time somebody calls out "it follows". Great marketing and score. I felt like it was going somewhere while watching it, but then the story just caved in on itself and had a lot of mistakes that distracted you from the film.
