The "almost found-footage clips" just look like the same kinda helmet-cam footage used in "Alien."

I beg to differ about this film having higher expectations than The Dark Knight Rises. From some polls online, The Dark Knight Rises still stands as the most eagerly awaited film this year, followed by Prometheus in the second slot and Django Unchained in the third.

The VFX alone is head & shoulders above anything else that's been previewed. Dense, rich, eye popping.

The visuals are awe-inspiring and I'm sure the film will be brilliant.

The trailer editing however leaves a lot to be desired, not sure if the cheap wannabe Massive Attack remix of the teaser music or the nauseating Zac Snyder-esque stop-starting effect is worse. Both silly decisions which make this the weaker of the two teasers despite the more epic screen shots.
