Very positive reactions to early screenings of Everest. The director Kormakur used to make more people-driven dramatic thrillers in the 90s, before he went gun-happy with Wahlberg and Denzel. Also, viva La Ronan!

It seems media is also part of the Hollywood problem with lack of diversity. I really hate to be a buzz kill but geez. All the same actors, same directors. Where\’s the diversity, it\’s obvious it starts with media. This early prefoctions, yet still no diversity.

Three things I say:
1. I just hope that the overrated and talentless idiot called David O. Russell doesn\’t win anything never.
2. Why could Abrams have more chances than Joss Whedon with Avengers: Age of Ultron? I mean, Whedon has made a lot for movies and TV, maybe if the superhero movie works well at the box office and the critics praise it… Well, you can imagine how the sentence ends.
3. I see Beasts of No Nation with more chances of success. I mean, it\’s directed by someone who won an Emmy because of True Detective, a TV series which became a worldwide phenomenon just right after the release of the pilot. That can do some good for Fukunaga.

Isn\’t this why the Oscars seem more important than they actually are?
Because Indiewire spends half their time making Oscar predictions a whole year in advance.
And later, when the usual films win, you write articles about why the Oscars should not matter as much.
Yet you lack the wisdom to discern you are part of the problem, not the solution.
