also for best supporting actor i think other cotenders could be
Dustin Hoffman for The Cobbler, Jk Simmons for Whiplash or men, women & Children, Dan Aykroyd for Get On Up, Christopher Walken for Jersey Boys, Colin Firth for Magic In The Moonlight, John Cusack for Maps To The Stars, Paul Giamatti for Love & Mercy, Casey Affleck for Interstellar(would be funny if Ben Affleck got nominated for Gone Girl and Casey Affleck got nominated for Interstellar lol).

and for best supporting actress
Jennifer Garner for Men, Women & Children, Cate Blanchett for Knights Of Cup, Krysten Ritter for Big Eyes, Sigourney Weaver for Exodus, Vera Farmiga for The Judge, Jacki Weaver for Magic In The Moonlight, Laura Dern for Fault In Our Stars, Juno Temple for Far From Madding Crowd(its finally time for the oscar to recgonize juno temple, shes such a talent), Nicole Kidman(paddington) & Melonie Diaz for The Cobbler(she was snub for fruitvale station).

As an Into the Woods fan, I should point out Johnny Depp has no shot at a nomination for Best Supporting Actor-he isn't in it enough. As well, Meryl will go lead, as the Witch was already borderline lead before they expanded the part. And the role of Cinderella has the play's most powerful song-she will be a contender for Supporting Actress

I think you'll be surprised when LIFE comes out. Rob is playing the lead, not the supporting role. The film is told from Stock's point of view, not Dean's. Rob is playing the photographer who took the iconic pics of Dean, and we get Stock's backstory with his wife and kids, etc., he will be in every scene, not James Dean. It's the story of the LIFE magazine photographer, not the movie star. It's starring Pattinson with DeHaan supporting. Nice to see Pattinson mentioned at all though.

With regards to Adam Sandler in Men, Women & Children, would that be considered Lead or Supporting? Reese Witherspoon, not so much. Waterston or Malone probably have much better shots, particularly Malone who plays Wilson's wife.

What about Robert Pattinson for The Rover? It's got some good momentum, could be going to Cannes, and the teaser was blistering.

I agree that Albert Brooks was robbed of a nomination for Drive. He was really menacing in that role. Maybe A Most Violent Year will bring him his due.
