Couldn\’t agree more that the inevitable "Oscar conversation" after a given film is screened at a festival is seriously misguided. A film deserves to be evaluated on its own terms and merits, and not based on potential for winning statues.

CAD – iTunes will happen, it\’s been a ridiculously long and convoluted process to make a simple thing like that work for our podcast, but it will happen. In the mean time, you can always download the mp3 file on Soundcloud.

HAL – Plenty of other podcasts that do that. And we already have done that extensively on the blog with all the coverage we provide of films we have just seen. In terms of this show and the podcast we want to produce, we\’d like to stand out from the pack, if possible. You know, maybe provide some folks a different angle on things.

ESTONIA FTW. You must have all been thinking about "In The Crosswind" subconsciously because that\’s your tiny little Estonian film that will never be seen at Telluride. And it\’s brill.

As for what floored critics at TIFF (and not in an Awardsy way, because yeah, screw Awards) from what I saw and covered anyways, it was "The Duke Of Burgundy" and "Phoenix." KJ didn\’t get a chance to cover them so they couldn\’t be featured on this podcast, but believe you me, these movies will remembered for years and years to come.
