Did Nolan actually flip an 18-wheeler or not? Yes, he did. Ok then. I don\’t care how much CG is used, what matters is how it is used. In the Super 8 trailer you can tell it is a CD train wreck. In Nolan\’s films you can never see the CG. I\’d rather see compressed air shooting out of the back of an 18-wheeler than basically a cartoon thrown into the middle of a live action movie, which is what a lot of overly CG action sequences look like.

people really need to get their facts straight about how little (or how much) CG Nolan uses in his films – and the 18 wheeler flip in Dark Knight could have used a little digital clean up to get rid of the blindingly obvious compressed air shooting out the back of it…

I wish Abrams had gone completely old-school with the visual effects. If Christopher Nolan can actually flip an 18-wheeler, Abrams could have found a way to shoot a train wreck with minimal CG.
