P.S. About Sex and the City. I liked the first movie and the first two seasons of the show, but by the end it was just embarrassing – especially Kim Cattrall who was too long in the tooth for that stuff by then.

Hellboy II and Quantum of Solace both ruled. I do agree with the rest of your list, but I'd hate to agree with every choice. I kind of feel for Shyamalan, though. He just can't seem to get it right. Even his biggest, The Sixth Sense, can't survive more than one viewing or even just one if you saw it already knowing the gimmick. I liked Unbreakable, where the twist kind of worked.

You do realize marley and me is based off a real-life book that is actually quite touching and more than a little heartbreaking. you would know that if you read it, but its obvious you can't because otherwise know the difference between there, their, and they're, which I believe is a 3rd-grade graduation standard.

I agree, Sex & the City the movie was horrible, the only film I was suffering through all the way at the cinema. I am no expert in filmmaking but the dialogues are so fake and forced, the "message" so cliché and the characters so unrealistic that I couldn't believe the creators thought it seriously. I do love rom-coms, but to me this seems to be a pretentious, dumb and poorly done film.

Wrong. I liked Sex And The City the show. It was a sharply written show, at least in the first few seasons, especially the first two. Guys who detest it largely didn't bother to watch it, but the film is pitiful and can't even compare to the show's worst season.

The reason why Sex&TheCity would be a "worst movie" is because those that watched it expected an automatic connection without watching the six seasons. Yeah, remember those? A two minute recap in the beginning won't make up for it.

I think it did justice to those who have been loyal to the HBO series, not guys who just wanted to watch it to say it sucked.

Thanks for proving men still don't get it.

Very apt list, although Seven Pounds should be in the top ten (awful movie). What Just Happened? was not only terribly unfunny, it was also unbearable and exceedingly unpleasant, and Robert DeNiro was just horrible. Hancock was very, very flawed, but nowhere near worst. There were some Bateman moments that were very well orchestrated. Indiana Jones was an artificial disaster. Jumper, anyone? Another silly, cheeseball piece of laughable mainstream. You also forgot Be Kind Rewind and Son of Rambow, both about videomaking, both unfortunately bad, the latter is obscure and should be forgotten. Good job, though.

I thought Hellboy II was such a cliched piece of tripe, a lot of average dramas this year that got a way lower, 70s-something score were much much better.

I added Towelhead and Pride and Glory to the list.

Speed Racer is kaleiodoscopic vomit.

I’m really disappointed with your choice of speed racer as number 3. Or even that it is on your list at all. It’s exhilarating, looks like nothing else, and the Grand Prix really is visual poetry. I watched Speed Racer 7 times in 6 months and can’t wait to see it again.

You seem to have hit all the major ones that everyone agrees on, save for Four Christmases and Bedtime Stories. I’m disappointed to see The Promotion, Valkyrie, and Hellboy 2 on this list. Those weren’t nearly as bad as the rest of these films, especially Hellboy (88% on RT yo!). But then again, my list will also include films that I’m sure some people didn’t find all that bad, such as Appaloosa, X-Files, Pride and Glory, Smart People, The Duchess, etc. But that’s probably because the movies I did see this year were the ones I THOUGHT would be decent. I stayed away from Hancock, The Happening, The Spirit, etc. because I knew what to expect, and I don’t think I could bear to watch them to to have a thorough “bad list.”

And shoudn’t you add Ben Button to the overhyped/disappointing list? God, I would!

what?!? cloverfield was awesome! and eagle eye wasn't all that bad - it was stupid but fun and stupid, that is, except for the excruitiatingly painful ending.

It's probably a good thing I haven't seen many of the films in the list but of those I have;

- Indiana Jones was awful. The fridge?!?
- Hancock was awful.
- Quantum of Solace should have been on your list - talk about dashing hopes worldwide...

Besides all of that, cool list - very entertaining.
