It's kind of obvious that Jackson's films will be the definitive adaptations for at least a few generations – i know there are profit disputes but you'd think the estate would put aside differences and let PJ have the rights for the sake of the property.

Maybe they eventually settle and we get another trilogy in 10 years..?
