First film is surprisingly delightful and gets a 2nd one greenlighted. 2nd one is lazy and has even bigger box office built on the goodwill of the first film. Third film will be incomprensible and an embarrassment as a film, but nonetheless profitable, though killing the franchise, at least for the immediate future.
