Adjusting for inflation, the original "Ghostbusters" would cost $70 million in 2015 dollars. The original cast isn\’t even returning, so it\’s not like the studio has to pay out crazy, legacy jackpot money to get this made.

They should skip the digital effects and just go old school practical, in keeping with the spirit (and rational cost) of the original.

Nobody has any business making a $150 million dollar live action comedy. Just ask the producers of the most expensive comedy of all time: "Evan Almighty"…
