This is wonderful news. Loved the original movies as a kid but they\’re nothing sacred. Feig is a strong director and female leads in these sorts of movies are the future.

It doesn\’t have to be a schlocky "passing the baton" moment. It could be them finding the old firehouse and some trace that people used to do the job they\’ll eventually do.

Wow, some delicate types here. Murray has the right of it. If they can\’t get the original cast, then they should start over. Don\’t have some cheesy moment of passing the batton ala Indy4. So much time has passed they should create a new world. Re-casting original roles has been successful (Battlestar).

Uh oh! This sounds awful. I would love to see Akroyd at least and to get a sense of continuity. Can you imagine if JJ announced that the new Star Wars was a complete reboot and that the previous movies didn\’t exist? Nerds would riot.
