When will \”The Tree of Life\” open in SW Florida…specifically Port Charlotte? Movies seem to take forever to arrive there and never stay very long at all!

I don\’t think the commercial prospects are very strong – but it is guaranteed to get a Best Picture nomination. Guaranteed.

I am glad Tree of Life is getting a nationwide release. Now we will find out how it will do commercially nationwide. It will be interesting to see how a smaller film for Brad Pitt and Sean Penn will do commercially.

I totaly agree, Lincoln Plaza is one of the worst places to see a movie in NYC. Especially for something like Tree of Life that\’s supposed to be seen on a big screen!

Shame that Searchlight is going with those two theaters for New York. Lincoln Plaza has some of the smallest screens in the city and the Landmark is only slightly better. Wondering why Searchlight isn\’t also going with the Regal Union Square theater–I saw Black Swan opening weekend there and part of the experience was how immersive the screen was. Whatever hate you want to put on the big chains, they defintley have the best quality for epic films.
