@Dela is a well-known Kristen Stewart worshiper who has no problem with Kristen\’s affair with her married director, or with the fact that Sils Maria was a flop, along with On The Road, Camp X Ray, The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys. I hope she supports Kristen\’s relationship with her live in lover, Alicia Cargile, but she has little room to talk about Pattinson or any other actor, since she can\’t remain objective in the midst of her insane vendetta in every comments section online.

Funny how things turn out. He keeps trying to make a go of it but continues to flop. Time will tell. Interesting how his best friend and engaged lover who have a child together have called it quits. Pattinson had better be careful with his own attachment to this Twigs , he just might be the next on the list of broken relationships. These people change partners like you change your underware. Twigs is a disaster about to happen but then he is far from sainthood.

No one expects Life to be an action/adventure film. Corbijn say it\’s about the friendship between two artists and as such, is very well done. The acting of all involved is at their peak. Pattinson is skilled at creating a new character for every role, not playing himself over and over and he is funny and charming in his interviews. His commitment to his craft has been demonstrated on screen with positive critical acclaim for all of his films outside the Twilight franchise.

The movie was very slow and had moments but was dull over all. Pattinson\’s acting in the films I\’ve seen him in, is spotty at best and in his interviews he usually sounds a bit silly. He should commit and study the craft.

@Turalura is a troll. Pattinson can act circles around the one trick pony he used to be saddled with. The Rover and Cosmomoplis proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt, and also demonstrated his range as an actor. Anyone who tries to diminish his acting skills now is obviously a troll. Cronenberg, Herzog, Michod and Gray don\’t cast "horrid" actors.

What\’s with all these teensy comments above? Pattinson is a horrid actor and couldn\’t act if his life depended on it. He\’s not even charismatic, more like a walking zombie. Has zero expression on his face. DeHaan is a bit better.

@crane. Sometimes catching the heart and soul of the character is more important than the external similarities. Apparently the filmmakers were so focused on the looks when Naomi Watts portrayed princess Diana that they forgot her personality. I don\’t know if it\’s true, haven\’t watched the film.
In the case of James Dean, the looks are important, he became an idol for his rebelous looks, sadly people didn\’t get enough time to get to know well his character.
I think Dane DeHaan and Robert Pattinson are among the most promising character actors of the young generation. Both dare to take risky roles that challenge them.
In my opinion, actors like them deserve more credits from the critics. They are the future of the movieworld, the big names are getting old(er).

This looks intriguing, as it\’s the story of the relationship between photographer and subject, rather than the story of James Dean the icon. Still, DeHaan may be a tough sell in that roll, simply because Dean has become such a towering figure. I\’m more confident In Rob Pattinson, because in my opinion he\’s proven himself, through performances the past two years, that he\’s one of the most capable and interesting actors working today. Definitely looking forward to seeing what he does with this one.

True, Pattinson has more charisma and is better looking than DeHaan, but I think he will pull off a believable James Dean, he\’s a good actor. The film is about the photographer who helped build Dean\’s legend with his iconic photos, it\’s not a biopic of James Dean, which I\’m sure will confuse a lot of people. The cinematography and attention to period details looks amazing, I\’m looking forward to seeing this in a theater.

I expect this film to be visually very beautiful and poetic. The challenge IMHO was to bring James Dean on screen as good as possible. Dane DeHaan is an amazing actor, I\’m sure he has done his utterly best. To be honest though, based on these pics, if I had to pick the most handsome, charismatic man I wouldn\’t hesitate one moment and choose Dennis Stock, above Dean. Charisma isn\’t a characteristic you can perform, it\’s there or it isn\’t. Robert Pattinson has it in abundance, reason why he was cast for the Cullen role in the first place, apart from his good looks of course.
Anyway, a film to look forward too!
