I just wish they threw something that sticked more often. So far i haven’t liked any of the movies i tried. And as for their series, i can still count them on two hands.

They have an enormous amount of money, so they just throw stuff at the wall to see what sticks. I get the sense they’re still learning how to make movies. In an institutional way. And I think a lot of established filmmakers are reluctant to work for them because they don’t market their movies. See ex.: Duncan Jones’ “Mute,” which came and went like a… well, a mute person, actually.

Yeah, what is it with Netflix and their originals? Their documentaries are a different story though. I can appreciate those every so often.
