Pretty sick of this franchise-masterplan mindset. I grew up in the 90s loving all things Spider-Man/Marvel, but now I just think: "Enough is enough". Spider-Man hasn't been relevant since 2004, cinematically speaking, and besides the first Iron Man (which is okay despite a cop out climax with robots smashing each other) and maybe The Avengers (which is ridiculously overrated and not as far from Transformers territory as fanboys like to think), the Marvel films, in my opinion, are crap. Plain and simple dumb, mediocre studio films with predictable plots, boring characters, ugly tv-movie-level cinatography (hello, Joss Whedon, your movie looks shït). I don't get the Marvel love from some online blogs (crappy geek sites like Collider.com). Marvel is not the filmmaker-friendly, cutting-edge studio some would like to think they are. Some people make it sound like they're as "bold" as Pixar were in the 90s. Bullshït, they're cashing in on all the geeks who buys a ticket for anything with a comic book tag on it.

The fact that some people are still thinking that The Avengers was a huge success "just cuz it had a bunch of superheroes in it" is hilarious (yeah I'm talking to you WB/DC).
