Now it looks like the director and the script were the problems, if you go by this statement: "Benaroya Pictures plans to retain the rights of the film and move forward with production on the picture after we generate a revised script and assemble a new filmmaking team.” This was going to be Assayas\’ biggest budget film to date, but if Benaroya didn\’t like his script and he wouldn\’t compromise, it looks like they just pulled the plug on him.

The producer, Charles Gillibert, has had a string of box office flops. It\’s too bad he miscalculated his abilities in regard to fundraising for this film, it sure sounded good on paper. Benaroya hasn\’t exactly set the world on fire either, I guess they decided to go conservative today.

too bad, it´s complicated de niro has several projects on waiting and I supposed rachel and robert as well, it seemed like a really goos story and after seeing Clouds of sils maria which was amzing I was hoping to see this one
