Victor Frankenstein was its maker, but the creation was never called Frankenstein in the novel. Silly popular culture. I at least expect people like Oliver Stone to get it right.

A human who did unspeakably evil things, but a clinically "sane" person nonetheless. And let's not forget, Hitler had millions of supporters and collaborators. To act like he's some unprecedented bogey man is naive. And obviously, there are plenty of people in the world today who share his sort of beliefs, secretly or not.

Anyway, Jay Rosenblatt has already beat Oliver Stone to the punch with "Human Remains" — a brilliant, chilling and eerily humorous "humanization" of Hitler and other modern despots/mass murderers. Highly recommended.
