I also thought of Powell and Pressburger when watching "Crimson Peak". The film has really stuck with me, it feels like a classic.

Nice, one of the better lists i\’ve seen, especially since Lobster is on top. Lanthimos is simply better than most Hollywood directors out there. More relevant, more fresh, more daring, more complex. Most of the great ones are outsiders, foreigners anyway…
