"Grindhouse" fckin sucked. We're the VHS/Home Cable generation, thats why we couldn't relate. Grindhouse????? WTF are those anyway? Where do those exist except in Tarantino's/Harry Knowels warped universe and why should we care????

You mean like The Office, Peep Show, Pulling, Monty Python, Extras, Shaun Of The Dead, Spaced, Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, The IT Crowd, Black Books, A Fish Called Wanda, Absolutely Fabulous, Black Adder, Kind Hearts And Coronets, The Lavender Hill Mobb, The Thin Blue Line, Mr. Bean, etc.

It's true when taken on their own the segments of Paris je t'aime are hit and miss (more hit than miss), but I think you're underestimating it overall. To me, unlike most such films, the pieces actually worked together in layers, one on top of the other until the whole was greater than the sum of its parts.

Everyone has their least favorite, I hated the vampire one and the Christopher Doyle one and the mime one, but they were over so quickly you hardly had time to be bored with them.

Great piece. You'd think across all the world there would be at least one portmanteau that was good across the board. This is pretty nerdy but I thought Katsuhiro's Otomo's Memories was pretty solid as a whole though it has weak entries too.

I don't actually get what was so British about it. It's a spoof of American trailers for Euro horror films. And pretty bang on.

Either way, the Playlist seems to be unable to get through a single article without some kind of snide aside.

A shame, because I generally like most of the content on this site.

I agree with Anonymous above. "Don't" is hilarious. And what about "Thanksgiving"? THAT was pitch perfect, down to the voice over, and I'm no fan of Eli Roth's. The "Machete" trailer had its moments, but like "Planet Terror" (and basically everything RR has done), it's clear he only gets the joke up to a point.
