Great review and my favourite film of 2013 so far! I especially agree with you on Barkhad Abdi's amazing performance, I don't know how but the way he said "I've come too far Irish, I can't go back now" I found really affecting. I really hope he along with Greengrass, Hanks, the script, score, cinematography and editing all get Oscar nods in January.

Looks like typical racist, manipulative Hollywood propaganda (call in the Seal team?) I guess some people go for that… I hope McQueen's 12 Years A Slave beats their pants off at the Oscars. If not, it will be noticed.

i predict 'Captain Phillips' will do for 'A Hijacking'
what 'Green Zone' (also directed by greengrass) did for 'The Hurt Locker'

hurt locker no stars therefore inpossible to predict what could happen next
green zone, matt damon, huge star ,same as tom cruise = no tension

a hijacking no stars foreign film = mind blowing tension
tom hanks , huge hollywood star = zero suspense
