"Is this a musical?" "What's the damn picture about" "So it seems to be about a movie director or somethin" "Oh, it's that umm that Daniel Lewis-Day, he's alright" (most of those are direct quotes)

If people who were old enough to see 8 1/2 in it's theatrical run don't know it…
