Saw it last nite, one of the worst movies period. Best part was the beginning when they weren\’t super heroes…that lasted all of 5 minutes…save your money and wait for it on Netflix …which should be next week!

I think 20th Century Fox should give the Fantastic Four rights to Marvel Studioa, and admit that they completely messed up FF4 and Spider-Man. Only good thing they\’ve done is cast Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

Joe- the amazing Spider-Man sucked. Not a good example at all. I\’m willing to give F4 a chance this weekend but my main issue is the same as I had with amazing Spider-Man. It was a rushed production done for the sole reason that if they didn\’t make it, they would have lost the rights. Taking sony\’s approach of re doing the origin story without using a fresh approach to the material is the issue most are bringing up. Taking out the humor of the comic to go more serious and casting Jordan as the human torch is not going to make up for what looks from the trailers to be basically nothing more than an unimaginative retread. If I\’m wrong, I\’ll be happy to admit it.

Saw this last night and for once agree with the critics. The build up is slow and boring and then the action seems to be over in a flash. Really disappointing

Critics watch the movie and give their opinion. That\’s their job. Movies are screened by critics BEFORE they are released to the public. There have been any number of superhero movies that have gotten good reviews. Out of all of the Marvel movies, here are the lowest rotten tomatoes scores from reviews – Thor: Dark World – 66%, Incredible Hulk – 67%, Iron Man 2 – 72%. Now, by comparison, it\’s only 7 critic reviews so far, but Fantastic Four has a score of 14% so far. That\’s even lower than Pixels (18%) and the Vacation reboot (24%). Time to face the reality that this movie isn\’t good…it\’s just a cash grab by Fox made before the deadline ran out so they can keep the FF movie rights away from Marvel.

Well, Indiewire has criticized independent films as well, in the past. I don\’t agree with all their reviews, but at least they\’re consistent.

As usual, Jagernauth arrives with his elitism acting like a proxy for those "critics." I couldn\’t care less about this movie, but it\’s yet another example of so-called critics trying to form consensus before the film is even released, getting to excited by some early bad buzz. It\’s like people WANT films to be bad, unless they\’re from pretentious, self-important Sundance-pandering directors like Baumbach or Dolan or take your pick.

I bet this is actually a good movie. Critic\’s didn\’t like The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) either, because it tread similar ground in a different way. I think these people assume every comic book movie has to be Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
