That sucks. I was looking forward to seeing Blanchett in a Baumbach film. I\’m sure he\’ll find other people who will work though. Stiller and Gerwig work perfect for Greenberg, and I can\’t imagine a different cast now.

I don\’t know if Nicole Kidman is available but I thought she and Baumbach worked wonders together last time they worked together. She\’d be a worthy replacement, I\’d say.

It\’s probably not possible but since Nicole Kidman was astounding in Margot at the Wedding, she should be the one to replace Blanchett.

If not, it\’s probably going to be Elizabeth Banks, Amy Adams or Naomi Watts could be good.

i love the Elizabeth Banks suggestion. I think she could work perfectly within Baumbach\’s world. Also, since Amy Adams and Ruffalo were supposed to be in \”Greenberg,\” it would nice to bring them back for this one.

Kidman\’s plate is more than full : she\’s filming Hemingway & Gellhorn right now, then late spring she\’s supposed to shoot the Chan-Wok Pak movie, then in July she is scheduled to come to Germany to shoot The Danish Girl. And in december she\’s on the Broadway Stage. And she just had a new baby !
