The Globes and Oscars are a lot more similar than most people care to admit. The nominees aren’t exactly the same, they can’t be Globes has more category, but if you do the math they’re always about 3/4 right which is a pretty good starting place.

I don’t know why, but I just don’t. In fact the only actress I can even remember championing (much the way you are KST) was Naomi Watts for 21 Grams in 04.

So far this year, the only performance I’ve seen thats getting talked about is Angelina Jolie in The Changeling. I’ll admit it is good and worthy of an Oscar nom, even if the desperate mother is a bit one note.
