refn\’s arrogance sometimes comes off as abrasive and not just run-of-the-mill confidence. not that that\’s a negative quality in a filmmaker, or any artist, but his interviews do make me cringe sometimes. however, if he keeps on making great films like the Pusher trilogy and Drive, i\’m all for giving him money for more "masterpieces."

I saw him talk in LA a few weeks ago and when someone asked him about this the only thing he would say is that it is going to be a masterpiece. Not very subtle but based on every new tidbit that comes in and I\’m inclined to hope for the best

I\’m excited! I\’m on the side of Refn lovers, despite the fact that he is such a polorizing director. I think that\’s what makes his stuff great though. Pumped to here more about this as it develops.
