Cage knows Hayden is a lousy actor he\’s trying to save his new movie Outcast by propping him up. Hayden\’s boring performances show his limited range as an actor. His pretty boy look is better suited for another line of work or a small supporting role with few lines.

Hayden didn\’t have a bad performance, just bad lines. George Lucas\’s undeserved fame came from his editors, and when he struck them down in the making of the phantom menace, he became more powerful than anyone could have possibly imagined, which unfortunately led to a movie that was seemingly directed on the first draft of a script filled with idiotic dialogue, non-focused and unimportant plot points, and a focus on marketing so strong there is a half hour podracing scene made entirely to promote the video game. So yeah, hayden wasn\’t bad, just bad writing.

Christensen was excellent in "Shattered Glass" but he has had such a wildly uneven career. I think Star Wars was the worst thing that could have happened to him though. Then again, others from those prequel films survived, but mostly, I think, because of what they had done previously to prove themselves.

Hayden proved himself with his FIRST movie which was Life As A House with a Golden Globe nomination as well. However, Lucas did not help his career as it should have. Hayden will be around for a long while, his acting skills in all other roles have progressively gotten better but the depth he had at the "get go" is still strong. His role with Adrien Brody in American Heist will show that and yes…even in Outcast. It is the directors "first timeout" as well as the writers so let\’s all just give Hayden some respect, he DOES deserve better roles!
