Problem isnt just casting its also about timing of coming out to theaters such as why there were too many good movies out at the same time. Also if you factor in today\’s audience that sees movies.

"Muppets Most Wanted" was a superiorly written film with genius, stand-out, Oscar-caliber songs. Movie suffered because (I\’ve said it before and I\’ll say it again) while they may be critical darlings, audiences don\’t find Tina Fey especially funny, and have a particular loathing for Ricky Gervaise. Bad, bad casting.
