Do the Right Thing has enough hate crime and police brutality to qualify as a crime drama and still be considered a satire, comedy, etc. the film is a lot of things. As for the Harlem bit, not sure what they meant but maybe the fact that people who think 1970s, NY, and crime immediately associate it to Harlem and not The Bronx? That\’s how I understood it anyways.
