The movie has some ambiguities and the CIA sometimes looks bad
and irresponsible, but the film still presents torture as a justified and \’effective\’ way of getting reliable information, which is simply not true at all. The film could have made a point to show how questionable
and ultimately useless most of the information through torture is, but they didn\’t. And the torturers themselves (played by Jason Clarke and others) are presented always as justified and competent. Therefore, in my opinion, there is little doubt that this is a pro-torture-film. Director Bigelow simply failed to represent it as the nasty and useless method that it is.

Saying that re ZDT, what chimes oddly is the fact that gifts were bestowed for what seems to be a fairly standard involvement, wondering if the true story\’s still somewhere in the gaps.
