so what happened with Renner taking over the Mission Impossible and Bourne series as lead? studios put that on the back burner? i guess the Marvel films trumped all that?

And by TIFF you mean TFF? Jk, but I didn't see it on the TIFF announcement either. A better question regarding KTM & festivals is when has Focus entered an oscar season with multiple films on their slate and NOT tried to play at least one film at T-ride? They didn't even give poor Theory of Everything a chance there.
