I signed the petition, because Huneycutt is right. Snyder’s given us one of the best live-action Batmans ever. He’s the one who convinced Affleck to take the role. Affleck is still producing and starring, so it’s not like he’s abandoned the project. And “Batman v Superman” isn’t the only time when Warner Bros. have forced a theatrical release of one of Snyder’s movies that was objectively worse than the Director’s Cut. “Watchmen” and “Sucker Punch” were also considered much better when Snyder’s intended cuts were released. As long as WB lets Snyder and Affleck (and Geoff Johns) work on the movie in piece, I think they could give us something spectacular.

The only thing this does is highlight how irrelevant 99.9% of petitions truly are. While I haven’t taken a peek on change.org in years, I’d imagine there’s currently no shortage of “Impeach Trump” petitions on the site.

I think this petition must have come from Macedonia or Russian hackers or a Twitter egg. I’m sorry, but this shouldn’t even be debated: Snyder is a hack. His best film is the 5 minute Bob Dylan sequence in Watchmen — and maybe the trailer to 300.
