It will either be a flop or it will be a marvel success. My only concern is the way they dismissed the fundamental "foundations". Reeves is never going to be replaceable but the storyline of the first superman movie he made should be the cornerstone to any reboot. To do do otherwise is an insult to character and to reeves memory.

Let's hope the clearly worded phrase "The planet Krypton is doomed" will serve
to put to rest the freaked out rumor that Krypton survived in this version. Nice to see a the writer of this kid's book was more to the point than the easily misinterpreted EW writer.

Superman is not meant to be realistic – it is based on a super powered hero from another planet… if anything this should be the least realistic film ever.
