I think that Universal is only gearing the marketing promotion to the established stars who have been cast in the movie. It is unlikely they are saving promo posters of Samantha Barks as Eponine until the last, because I've come to the conclusion that they haven't made any such posters, and it is equally unlikely that we will get more than one production image of Miss Barks as Eponine.

I don't think there's any conspiracy going on here. Those photos were shot months ago before filming was even completed. Samantha was an unknown at the time and Annie Leibovitz (not Liebovtiz) most likely just did shots of the established movie actors. It might be nice if the writer of this piece spelled Annie's name correctly.

I am hoping secret weapon because she is a fantastic Eponine! Sam already has Oscar Buzz so maybe they will be marketing her more for award season? If their reason is because she is "unknown", they could easily put "Introducing Samantha Barks" on the trailer! But i am glad we get to hear her sing in the new trailer though!

You are right. They are leaving Eponine out of a lot of the promotion. It is pretty conspicuous when you feature every other major character in this Vogue shoot. Maybe because Samantha Berks isn't a name? But she is an importan character with one of the most recognisable songs so you'd think they would go down the introducing a new ingenue or a star from the stage production angle. It's a bit rud reallye.
