This Alicia person can\’t act, and she has the body of a 12 year old boy. I understand her father is a billionaire Romanian with personal ties to Tom Hanks, and Sting. She is on the public eye because of her connections not her talent. She has ZERO charisma, the acting ability of stale toast, and she\’s built like a short boy. This goes to show you money and the right connections can buy you anything.

Isabel is a lot younger than Tom in the book. Fassbender and Vikander are perfect cast, age wise anyway. Rachel as Isabel would be so wrong.

It is actually rumored to be released in the UK in early January 2017, which probably means December in the US. Looks like they are aiming for next year’s award season. If it is competing in Cannes or Vienna we will know for sure.
It was probably a good choice not to release it a year earlier, since both lead actors already have Golden Globe nominations for other films.
Cianfrance certainly seems confident since he recently compared Vikander’s achievement in the film with Scarlet O’Hara.

I would\’ve been more optimistic if it only got Fassbender on it. And why not put Rachel Weisz as his wife instead? the logic is here: Fassbender+Weisz=husband/wife look, Fassbender+Vikanwhat=Grandpa/daughter-look. Meh.

They don\’t look like a couple but father and daughter. I don\’t have any faith in this film. I bet good reviews but a box office bomb and few awards. Cannes, Venice or TIFF to premiere.

The book was heart-rending, and these two are terrific actors. I can\’t wait.
I suspect TIFF rather than Cannes, though.

Cannes that\’s a little too optimistic for this doomed to fail piece of work (if you can call it that) they should have gotten Australian actors for this would have been much more convincing, they may do ok individually but collectively these two are dull with their only chemistry reflecting the cabin fever that they suffered whilst making this film from being cooped up in the same house being forced together is never a a good nor solid start for any subject, movie or relationship hence its demise.. Great PR sweetie but try better next time was never convinced from the start! Who eve hired that little weed to star in this must have been smoking some pretty heavy pot that day!
