I actually liked Donnie Darko and I have button, button the short story The Box is based on in a Richard Matheson collection and I've seen the 80's Twilight Zone episode it was based on and I have to say it doesn't seem like there is a lot of material there for a movie. Who knows maybe Kelly came up with something to expand it but after the director's cut of Donnie Darko and Southland Tales I'm not sure I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I seriously cannot understand why people started paying attention to Kelly even after Donnie Darko...
To be vague, just because, isn't the same as being vague with a purpose...
Kelly is a person who obviously doesn't know the difference.
He is a Lynch wanna be, who gets constantly drowned in his own ideas.
"Donnie Darko" was, and still is one of the most overrated films i have seen in my lifetime.
And, funny fact here, did you know that in my Country (Argentina, by the way) "Southland Tales" was translated to "The hours lost" i thought, well if that's not irony, then i don't know what is! Because "Southland Tales" is just that... a waste of fucking hours.

This looks crappy, all Kelly Style.
I would not be surprised if he ends up being this generation's Ed Wood...!
