they are not dropped half way. Of course the show has an advantage of being layed out as a long continuous movie divided into parta due to Netflix uploading approach. Abother technical feature I admire a lot is actors being able to actually speak foreign languages. I didn\’t feel there was lack of subtitles, then again I understand Russian. It always irritates me to hear foreigners speak English to each other. Feels like the creators are doing a half ass job not evem trying to make them sound believable. Respect for paying attention to this detail.

I certainly like the show, Daredevil stands out from other alike series and it\’s refreshing. Particularly good points, in my opinion, are the depth of characters and relationships between them. The stories have a natural flow and, unlike many other shows

I would argue that DD passes the Bechtel test requirement for 2 female characters to speak to each other about something other than a man. The conversation referenced in the article between Karen and Sra Cardenas is about the case Karen is trying to put together. She\’s asking Mrs Cardenas for information about her housing situation…

Maybe I\’m just too technically challenged but the amount of foreign dialogue (russian, japanese, chinese, spanish) without subtitles or translation was excessive. I didn\’t want close captioning on for the whole show and it seemed odd to me that entire conversations took place without even a line in english to figure out the gist. Other than that, we are total fans.

Personally I enjoyed the graphic nature of the show. That in itself makes the show different from any other superhero show. It makes the show dark in a sense. That\’s just me though. And the cast are great. :p

My wife and I loved this series, for all the pros you mentioned and many more. As a lifelong Daredevil fan, I was very pleased (and relieved) to see this beloved character finally get such a worthy live action adaptation. However, I would like to add one con: Why didn\’t anyone ever wonder out loud, "How does this vigilante see with a black bandana over his eyes?" This was the one element that bothered my wife throughout the show, and by the end it got to me too. Also, we\’re wondering why the cloth sometimes appeared so lumpy around his eyes/forehead. Was Matt wearing his sunglasses underneath his mask? Regardless, if that\’s our biggest complaint, it just shows what an excellent job the Daredevil/Netflix team did overall. We can\’t wait to see what they do with the next three shows!

An excellent sum-up. I\’m one of those who has no "Daredevil" knowledge beforehand, and am getting pretty damn bored with the Superhero genre in general, but there\’s a lot here that I\’m enjoying. One aspect in particular that\’s surprising to me is the number of lengthy scenes consisting of quiet, two-person conversations: the Fisk-Vanessa restaurant scene, Matt and the priest, young Matt and the Scott Glenn character. They\’re all very delicately written and performed, and I find that refreshing. But I cannot recommend the series to several people I know because of your first "Con" point — the brutality and sadism of the violence is a major turnoff to me. I acknowledge what they\’re attempting, but I also feel that there\’s a sense of "Let\’s do what they\’d NEVER let us do in a Marvel movie," and I really believe the show is better than that.
