Aren't the trades just concerned whether it has box-office prospects or not? So sick of their reviews.

I don't think everyone will love Ondine as much as I mostly did, but that's ok. I felt it really transported me and it was captivating. That's all I ask for with this type of film. Cynics will probably dismiss it. That's their prerogative.

The trade reviews of this one seemed pretty tepid, but I've been looking forward to it and I'm glad to hear a little enthusiasm.

As a big fan of John Sayles' The Secret of Roan Inish, what would you the odds of Ondine working its magic on me are?
