whats up with the bronson disses from you commenters? as far as i know the only place it was shown was in hotels and i watched it three times seeing more into it each time.
the last scenes were brillantly shot, e.g., the back view of bronson painted in black. the films most astounding feature tho was the performance of tom hardy. whats up with the brits snubbing this guy, especially in stuart: a life backwards and now his extraordinary bronson im lucky i have seats to see his lead role in the stage play starting in feb at chicagos goodman theater. directed by philip seymour hoffman, this will be worth flying in for –well, for business,too

'Revanche' and 'Jerichow' made my top ten. 'Bright Star' was good but Cornish's acting was too modern for the part. 'Limits of Control' I have to say was pretty weak - and I say this as a Jarmusch fan.

Maybe funniest political satire since 'Strange Love'? But it definitely doesn't carry the same weight, aesthetically or thematically. And it's missing a Peter Sellers.

Oof, that's a statement that can't sustain itself. In The Loop was a great extended piece of television and funny, yes. Not a great film though.

Bright Star for sure!!! I am so disappointed that Abbie Cornish hasn't been nominated for anything. Totally agree with Mary and Max as well!

Agreed. We did a whole breakthrough performances piece.

See the intro, we didn't put Wright in there, because we could have gone forever and ever, but we gave her a shout-out in the Blake Lively piece, which is way more of a breakout role considering she's way newer and just getting her feet wet in feature films.

"The Limits Of Control" was brutally slow and ultimately unrewarding. Bronson was also rubbish. Revanche and Sugar were very good films. I think Revanche is one of the best films of '09

"Bronson" was abysmal and correctly overlooked. "Julia" was very good, and Tilda Swinton, giving the best performance of the year, was blocked from the Oscars due to early release. "Tyson" is the best film I've seen this year, or at least I think. "Sita Sings the Blues" also was appreciated by many on the small scale but more than that. "Two Lovers" is good, too.
